Day 1998 back to earth with a bump!

It was a long trip home yesterday! I think I slept on and off the whole flight but my legs were so jumpy.

We got home about 2.30am thanks to my lovely father in law for picking us up at that ungodly hour!!

It was so lovely to see the dogs. They were all half asleep so it was a muted celebration!

We were both awake at 7am thanks to an excited woof… no doubt a pupper that remembered we were home.

Craig got up, made coffee, emptied his case, put washing on and cleaned the sunroom. I finally got out of bed about 9ish. I unpacked the case, cleaned the kitchen and hung up 5 loads of washing.

The house smelled of dog so we’ve washed all the dog blankets . It probably always smells of dogs but we just can’t smell it!

It’s been a beautiful day. Considering we’ve had up to 32°C recently, it was surprisingly warm, I had shorts and tshirt on all day…. I say that and we have the heating on inside to dry all the washing 😆

And just like that these are my photos… like nothing ever happened. 😆

The field has been cut while we’ve been away but it was really muddy. I had a great walk around in the sun and they had a good run.

The clouds were intense and really flat on the bottom.

Then Khakeesi!

I made myself a lovely Greek Salad for dinner… determined to keep it going!

So yeah… back to work tomorrow. Going in super early so I can get away early as Gayle and I are off to Edinburgh tomorrow night, to see Donna Ashworth! There is a chance we will get to meet her beforehand, so we need to get over sharp!

I miss the maid coming in to clean my room everyday.

I miss the white cotton bedsheets.

I miss the menu for breakfast.

I miss the pool.

I’m not ready to adult yet 😆

Stay safe everyone ♥️♥️♥️
