Day 1988 I cannot sit still….re-learning how to relax 😆 in Lindos, Greece 🇬🇷

It’s 12.44 and I’m writing the blog already as I just cannot remember how to relax.

I literally feel like a box of frogs… or like I have ants in my pants.

When did it get so hard to relax?!?? 😆

This place is absolutely stunning. It’s everything we expected it to be and more.

We’re away up the back of Lindos, about a 20 minute walk into town.

It’s so peaceful, I can hear the wind blowing in the trees around us…. A very faint beat of some relaxing music from the main pool and our resident kitten meowing with Craig…. Our resident Dr Doolittle. 😆

Yes it probably has fleas but it’s the cutest thing ever 😆

So we didn’t get to bed until after 1am which was 11pm UK time…. We had a welcome drink around the main pool.

We had a problem with our toilet not flushing so had the repair guy in late!

Our accommodation is probably the best we’ve ever had. Craigie has worked like a trojan all year to pay for this and we really needed it. I just don’t know how to stop…. It might take me a few days to relax into it.

I bound out of bed after heavy dreams at 8am to this….

We headed down for breakfast at 9am.

I had Greek yoghurt with walnuts, banana and cinnamon… Craig has scrambled egg on brioche with crispy bacon.

So the plan was to walk 10 minutes to our local supermarket. A bottle of juice from our minibar is €5.50 and it’s a wee bottle!!!

We kept walking and found ourselves in Lindos for a quick wander around.

It’s everything I expected it to be and more. I came here in 1992 when you couldn’t flush your toilet paper…. I just found out today that you can now… hmmm who knew?!?! 😆 Craig is horrified I’ve been putting my toilet paper in the bin beside the toilet since I got here 😆😆

And this is where I start writing.

I’ve been in the pool. I’ve jogged under water (head above) for the count of 300… moving my arms as well as my legs…

We just had crusty bread, feta and olives for lunch on our patio. Craig fed the kitten… it will never leave us now! 😆

I think I’ve managed to relax a bit more this afternoon. I’ve read a book, I’ve dipped in the pool, I may have fallen asleep.

It’s hot but there’s a gusty breeze… moderate breeeze, BBC Weather calls it… that stops the heat from being too intense.

It’s 5.30pm and we’ve showered and heading out for another walk… I’ll put this out now so I’m not writing all night 😆

It’s been a lovely day. We’re laughing at each other not being able to switch off.

It will come!
